The city of lights Karachi, have not much taller buildings back in the nineties, when I was a small kid, I always wonder that the city of light Karachi has no bigger buildings, back in the 1990’s we have limited tall buildings, what max tallest I have visited was 8 floors, with no parking floors inside the building.
Now after some developments, we do have a tall building, some really tall. I am not a person who have height phobia but still when I see from the top, like from rooftop, I have a little doubt of having fear.
Whenever I use to watch English movies and watch the tall building, I use to say why don’t we have it. And now when we have it, feels like it should be away from the cities.
Anyways, my previous office or even my new office both have tall buildings, and I love watching down those little cars feels like I am playing a game which I use to play in my childhood.
Watching these give my mind a weird power an illusion of playing and enjoying. I don’t know how others might think of it but it makes you fresh because it takes you away from the heavy mind.
Our previous Imtiaz super market head office building was also tall but not that tall, but this new head office and this new place is so and super exciting.
Although I felt the day we have shifted in this new office, things are so and super busy… we don’t get to talk a walk or go for fresh air.
In the previous office, the parking space has no window but this has a window and the wind here is mind-blowing.
The new head office and this new building are so amazing, the current location is just amazing front view has this amazing bridge and the open road, whereas the background has some greenery along with a pool, so it is just so peaceful when you are confused or anything, you can stare out of the window. Even sometimes there are eagles sitting on the window and it gives such a pleasure to watch them this closely.
Even our tea breaks are now a fun time, because the old head office was in such a building where we have zero open windows, and now we have a bird view type location, both side windows.
The last office was dark like when we have a load shedding kind of thing, there is no light in office it uses to be a dark room, but now we have so much light in the room that we want to lower our curtains. At least now we have daylight which helps us feel alive.
At times darkness makes you depressed, and for me, darkness is not only about the blackout, its more of an artificial lightening. In our previous building, we have no window from which we can have daylight natural light in the room, and the longer one stays in artificial light its effects.
I was also affected by that darkness. But now thankfully that we have shifted and I am drooling over this new building new office everything new, also the colors that we have here are amazing and positive.
Green is cool for the eyes and also gives you some positivity…

This is just a thought which I shared about the tall buildings, about my workplace and how lost I use to be watching it from such a top.
The night view, how can I forget to tell you about the night view of this new building, whether you look it from outside or from inside, both will give you pleasure, and relief. The lights of every passing car and the view from the bridge are mesmerizing. The evening looks when the sun is setting and the sky is changing its color, that is so beautifully breathtaking and hard to explain in words.
Sometimes when the weather is nice and we are up, feels like we will raise our hand and will touch the clouds.
