By June 3, 20192 Comments

People count days for #Ramazan cause it’s a month of extra blessings, people do more good deeds try to pray five times a day and much more, the blessing of this month is felt in every way and everywhere…

Ramadan is a gift from Allah to all of us, in which we fast and pray. And for all the good deeds we do we get rewarded extra, like for extra nawafil that we pray, Fast (Roza), zakat, sadqa, HE rewards us more, double or triple times than in a normal day… Eid ul Fitr intends to commend the long stretch of fasting… Muslims have enjoyed supplications during the time of Ramadan and Allah Almighty has favored them with bliss as Eid. Endowments, amicability, and satisfaction are showered on Muslims by Almighty Allah to stamp the festival of Meethi Eid ul Fitr.

My grandparents often say:

“Eid is the day of our result”

We fast for a whole month and for all the fasts and prayers, Allah blesses us with EID…

An event to celebrate…

Dress up for Eid:

Preps of Eid is never-ending, even on Chaand Raat if you ask about the preps you feel like something is missing. Or we forgot to arrange this….

Besides the things that are mandatory are:

  1. Shower
  2. New Clothes or even not new than the best of your clothes
  3. Mehandi, parlor and special kinds of stuff because without all this Eid are incomplete.

Cleaning up and wearing new clothes on Eid is a custom. Whether a male or female, the individuals who can bear the cost of a new dress, suit up themselves in the most extravagant and luxurious outfits, while the individuals who can’t at present figure out how to look best on Eid day.

Ladies or females like us like to enrich their hands with mehndi and bangles to stamp the bubbly state of mind. The way to Eid festivity is to wear new clothes.

Regardless of how much profound complaints we have confronted, we greet Eid entire-heartedly.

Give Fitra to the Needy:

Fitra is paid to poor people, before Eid, so that they can too purchase something on Eid and celebrate it with us. So, don’t forget the destitute and underprivileged in your carnival. Paying Fitra to the penniless individuals is a religious commitment before going for Eid prayers. Ensure that you have made the Fitra payment well before Eid so that they can make their Eid clothes on time.

Attend the Eid Prayers:

Before leaving for Eid prayers, family gatherings are best, like waking up early morning, rushing to kitchen for helping parents for breakfast, showing of mehndi colors, fighting over food and sitting beside grandparents, along with the task of helping mothers. After all the chaotic scenes, getting ready for Eid, as all the male members of the family leave for Eid Namaz.

Eid Prayers are held early morning at different Masjids, and outside open areas (Eid Gah). The time of Eid prayers varies. It is necessary to go to Eid supplications and Khutbah on Eid day to express appreciation to Allah Almighty for innumerable gifts and joy. After the supplications, hug and greet each other by wishing them, Eid Mubarak.

Give Eidi and Gifts to the Younger Ones:

As a child, I have always been excited for EID, because receiving a lot of Eidi, more than any cousins, and getting all dressed up, sometimes dressing just like my sister, posing and working like twins, was the best thing, Mehandi the next big stuff for me, and that color…. jewelry and cakes everywhere… and the new notes as Eidi that is the thing which excites me even today, even after been grown up… Now as a grownup EID is like give and take, you have to give and receive… You have to get dressed and do the house chores. But still receiving Eidi and new notes are the most exciting things after Mehandi.

Every women and child in family use to gather to greet Eid greeting and to collect Eidi from elders as soon as they are back from Eid Prayers.

Note:

Not just your family members, but your housemaids and other servants are equal recipients to receive Eidi. Do remember them in your celebrations.

Visit the Resentful Relatives:

Are you still not in talking terms with your aunt or any of your blood relation? Then Eid is the best moment to cheer them up and forget all the issues or at least keep them aside.

Request:

Please do visit your resentful relatives and try to let go with the misunderstandings. Eid is a blissful day to mend hearts and to reconnect with the loved ones. Utilize it to spread happiness, peace, and harmony among relatives and friends.

Feast with Family:

Eid time is family time. These three days of Eid are the ultimate opportunity to have splendid family time. Rejoice every moment of Eid ul Fitr with some cheerful laughter, games, chit chat, gossips and family dinners along with those beautiful selfies and crazy amazing moments…

In case you are stuck up at home and waiting for guests to arrive, give yourself some me time, read or watch your favorite things… Its summer so stays indoor and hydrated…

Oh, and do you know this secret I am about to share?

The blessing of Six Fasts of Shawwal:

I have observed in the family that grandparents use to fast on the 2nd day of Eid till 7th of Shawal, like 6 more Roza after Eid…

I have always wondered the reason for extra Roza or for this particular act… Upon some research, it is advised to fast for 6 days in the month of Shawwal. From 2nd Shawal onwards, Muslims fast to earn blessings and Sawab.

According to Sahih Muslim, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) has said:

“Whoever completes the fasts of Ramadan then adds to them the facts of six days in the month of Shawwal, it will carry the Sawab of fasting for the whole year.”

The significance of Six Shawwal fasts is clear from this Hadith. Muslims should avail this golden opportunity for acquiring enormous reward from Allah Almighty. It is preferable to fast from 2nd Shawwal to 7th Shawwal.

Have a blissful Eid ul Fitr!
